A Healthier Work Environment
Going green
is no longer just a trend; it’s a way of life. Health Market Science is doing
everything we can to ensure that this better way of living becomes a part of
our business. The expansion of our facility in King of Prussia was an excellent opportunity to
begin making an eco-friendly impact on the environment. From the initiation of
the project, a team of employees and an environmentally-sensitive designer,
Kati Barbato (Polek Schwartz Architects), used materials in the new
construction that were both cost effective and environmentally friendly. It
also gave us an opportunity to improve on some of our prior business practices
in order to become greener. For example, we implemented a shift to a virtually
paperless promotion environment.

Here's a sample of the eco-friendly materials and products HMS selected for use in our new expanded facility.
Since 1899 M.A.B. Paints has been known for
manufacturing premium quality products for the architectural, commercial, and
industrial markets. With the increasing demand for Low VOC (Volatile Organic
Compounds) paints, M.A.B. has created a line of products that exceeds the
government mandated requirements for VOC levels.

EnergyStar office equipment uses less energy to
perform normal day-to-day tasks and automatically switches to a low-power mode
when not in use. EnergyStar appliances have been designated by the U.S
Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy as eco-friendly.
It is a joint effort between the three parties that ensures a proven energy
management strategy that helps measure current energy performance, tracks savings
and rewards improvements.

With a
constant commitment to safety, health and the environment; DuPont has created
surfaces that are trendy, durable, and eco-friendly. Both Zodiaq® and Corian®
meet and exceed the emission guidelines for VOCs and HAPs (hazardous air
pollutants). In addition to these already impressive eco-friendly measures, the
Corian Terra Collection contains a minimum range of 6% to 13% of pre-consumer
recycled content. While Zodiaq Terra Collection has a minimum of 50%
pre-consumer recycled glass.
