Key 2012 Call Letter Effective Date Confirmed with Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS)
At last week’s webinar, The New “Must Haves” for Part D Payers: Valid Prescriber Identifiers and DEA Schedule Registration, attendees wanted to know effective dates for the new DEA Schedule Registration. We confirmed directly with CMS that the effective date for compliance with the requirements of the 2012 Call Letter is January 1st, and any reference to a 9/30/11 date is the date associated with communicating the change.
