Health Market Science Appoints Mark Cieplik as Senior Vice President of Life Science Sales
King of Prussia, PA August 15, 2011 — Health Market Science (HMS) , leading supplier of provider data and data management solutions, announced today that it has appointed Mark Cieplik as senior vice president of Life Sciences Sales, leading the team responsible for revenue growth and client satisfaction in the company’s largest business segment.
Cieplik joins Health Market Science with a wealth of sales and executive management experience selling into the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Most recently, he held sales, marketing and operations leadership positions at Dendrite, now Cegedim. “During his nine-year tenure at Dendrite, Mark was a key member of the management team that grew the company to over $350 M. His expertise will help fuel his team’s vision and the aggressive goals we’ve set for client reach and revenue growth at Health Market Science,” said John Schultz, executive vice president of Sales.
Cieplik will direct the segment strategy for Life Sciences, a market that continues to undergo substantial changes and increases in regulation, such as aggregate spend reporting. Prior to Dendrite, Cieplik held executive positions at IBM, Interleaf Corp and System Software Associates. He was graduated from Millikin University with a degree in Marketing.
